God is our Father. He is our teacher and provider.
Yet we (just like the prodigal son), tell Him that we want all of his blessing for us now. Regardless of if we are ready to handle them.
We willfully leave him and seek after our own pursuits in our own wisdom.
At first things look good. Then they may even look great. However things change. Eventually we all come to the place where we realize that we have to go back to our Father.
People that we thought were our source, prove not to be.
Titles that we thought validated us, change and then who are we now?
Employment positions that we thought were secure are not. Now what is your purpose?
Finances that we trusted in, become depleted due to unexpected situations or unwise decisions. Where is our true power?
God is our Father. He is an all encompassing love. There is nowhere that we can be that He cannot find us.
Whatever you may have lost or think you have lost, He can restore, replace and rejuvenate!
Luke 15:17-21
17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
