Too Busy To Answer

Have you ever been busy doing something and the phone was ringing and you did not hear it at first because you were so focused on what you were doing?

Then when you realized the phone was ringing and went to answer it the person had disconnected the call and you decided to call them later?

Unfortunately the caller may have really needed to speak with you.

Good Busy v.s Not So Great Busy

I believe focusing on what we are doing is a great and necessary requirement for success and we definitely should be taking care of ourselves, our families and building our relationships with the Trinity.

We should also in some capacity be helping to fulfill the Great Commission. There are many ways to do this, not only serving on a team during church services so please look for ways that you can help make a difference.

Balance

Sometimes we are busy with good things but they still may not be the best things. If we are so busy that we do not or cannot do something when we feel the urging to contact, pray for, bless someone or help, then we are too busy.

I had some plans and projects that I was working on that never seemed to work out. My focus was more on those things than on God. He has gifted each of us with skills, interest and passion to do great things.

We just need to make sure that those things do not push His things to the side.

I stopped to take an inventory of what I had been doing, what should I should have done that I had not and I made some changes as a result.

Are you too busy to answer His call? It is never too late to take that inventory and start where you stand.

Haggai 1:9

“You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?” declares the Lord Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own house.
