Riding In On Someone Else’s Reputation

We as believers sometimes try to ride in only on Jesus reputation. His sacrifice covered our sins, He provides forgiveness and we are new through Him.

We need to do some things ourselves and not expect to only ride in on Jesus’ reputation and therefore make no effort.

How We Play a Part

We need to pray, read and meditate on His Word, love and forgive others, let our lives be a testimony of who He is. We need to take good care of our health, bodies and read to build up our minds.

By doing these things we live in conjunction with what He has done for us.

James 1:22-25

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
