Praying for Others

I heard a Pastor once say that “Nobody gets by with anything, sin has it’s own penalty.” This is one of the reasons we should be praying for ourselves and others.

Sometimes when we have been hurt physically, emotionally or mentally, we become so focused on looking back at the issues, we forget to pray.  This can slow down the healing and moving on process.

Sometimes It Is Not About Us

We also never know what someone else may be going through. Their behaviour may be negatively impacted by health issues, stress, neglect or abuse that they may be experiencing.

Even if we never know the reason for the persons behaviour, we can always ask God to help us to pray for those who’s actions may have been harmful to us (because sometimes it is not easy😇).

We are accountable for what we do. God will judge, it is not up to us and we need to forgive as we expect to be forgiven.

Ephesians 6:18

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
