Phantom Movements

I wear glasses and sometime they slip down the bridge of my nose. I push them up and continue what I was doing. I have noticed that sometimes I raise my hand to push up my glasses and I do not even have my glasses on! Why is that?

Truly I have no idea why I do that, however we sometimes do the same thing consciously or un-consciously with relationships and situations.

Sometimes when I try to push up my glasses that I am not wearing, I accidentally poke myself in the face. These phantom movements can cause us damage.

Perhaps we have had an unpleasant experience with:

An employer – We respond to our current employer as if you are in the same situation.

Relationships – We act as if the people in our life now are the same and we make the same choices now as we made in past relationships. You perhaps could not trust someone (or a few people) and you act as if that applies to everyone now.

Situations – Unfortunate financial decisions we made in the past because that is  what we are familiar with doing. Even though we have experienced the negative benefits of those choices, we slide back into the same habits.

Yes we hopefully learn from the past, however we need to apply the  lessons in a positive way and move forward.

Now is not then and this is not that. Go forward in confidence and do not allow the past negatives to damage the positive opportunities in front of you!
