My sister is a teacher and as she was marking her students work, the students answer confused her so she wrote “come see me” on their work. From her perspective, the response was not clear.
I started laughing because I remember teachers writing this comment on my work. Unfortunately in my case it was ususally because I had done something they did not like. For me in school this comment usually made me wonder, “What did I do now?”
In my sisters situation, she was confused and wanted clarification. My teachers were usually mad…lol. There can be such a difference depending on a person’s position and their perspective.
This is an important thing to remember when we are interpreting others actions and to remember when they are interpreting ours.
