One Drop Of Sin

Jesus died for our sins. We are forgiven.

My sister’s bathroom had a small leak in the ceiling and it was a slow drip. She called the property manager and they sent someone to check it.

He said basically, “Is that it? I thought the roof was coming down.”

My sister showed him pictures from her previous experience. It started as a small leak and she showed him the pictures of what it developed into.

Sin is kind of like that small leak. It can start as one little thing and develop into us moving so far from one little action into some decisions with truly damaging results. (adultery, theft, damaging someone’s reputation or self esteem, self- abuse and the abuse of others)

Do not under estimate what sin will do to your life. The results may not be immediately visible but they are there. Sort of like a bad weed. Repent immediately and pull out the roots of it if you can.

Do not allow anyone to make you feel as if what has been done is so bad that you cannot repent. We all have sinned.

God forgives, God has forgiven. Be encouraged and keep moving forward!

Are you willing to forgive others who have sinned against you?

‘This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message came to him, Joseph wept.
1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
