In Luke 5:4, Jesus told Simon to “Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.”
It immediately came to me, that we are like Simon in that we feel we have toiled through life and nothing has come of it. But that is not true. When they put down their net, “they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net broke.”
They had so much overflow, they had to call their partners in the other ship to help them. They filled both ships so full that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw that he fell at Jesus knees. Then he, James and John followed Jesus.
It is not too late, it may look like it is impossible but Jesus shows us it is not. He did it before and He will do it again, trust Him.
