Leading After Making a Mistake

Peter failed after Jesus was captured. He was asked if he was one of Jesus deciples and he denied that he was. He went so far as to deny even knowing Him. This mistake could have derailed Peter from his purpose but it did not.

Jesus spoke to him and told him that Satan desired to sift him as wheat. Jesus then told him, when you turn back, strengthen your brothers.

Even though Jesus knew Peter was going to fail. He did not think, well I am finished with this one. He is not worthy to be one of my disciples. Instead he trusted that Peter would be able to strengthen his fellow disciples. Even after his own failure.

We all have failed in personal relationships and in business. This does not disqualify us from being able to lead in our homes or businesses.

We all make mistakes in every area. Do not condemn yourself or allow others to condemn you.

Learn, lead, assess, adjust and repeat.

Each day is an experience. Take the best and learn from the rest!

Luke 22:31-62

“Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”
