We create invisible shields between us and the things we need and want because we subconsciously do not feel we deserve the best and we are being greedy if we expect the best. The shields are usually hidden like a glass window when you look outside. You rarely notice the glass barrier.
Allowing others to mistreat us and accepting that treatment does not make us understanding or kind.
Someone who is abusing you is not doing it because you deserve it or they are teaching you something because of your past mistakes or behaviour.
Living in debt, doing without or not enjoying the blessings that can come with a healthy financial situation, does not make us humble.
These shields of how we think about ourselves, our behaviour and what we deserve, prevent us from being open to receive blessings.
Those blessing can be in your health, relationships, finances, employment and peace, to name a few.
Take steps to start thinking about who you are in Christ, read His Word and remember He loves you.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
