T.D Jakes and Max Lucado were on the program Praise on TBN.
Bishop Jakes said, “ If we are not prepared for disruption, then we are not prepared for resurrection.”
Emotional stress has the same impact as physical injury.
We cannot run away and escape from challenges. We need to walk through and learn from them.
“That is not something you do from your emotions. It is something you do from your place of teaching.”
Wow. I never though about how I handled disruptions in life as coming from a place of teaching. I thought we handle things differently based on our personality and experiences. In truth even past situations have taught us about handling challenges. Sometimes we learn well and sometimes we do not.
The idea of equipping others to handle disruption personally as well as professionally is a game changer for me.
Teaching is key. The word of God is vital. We must learn how to walk through challenges allowing us to not only survive but thrive as we successfully walk in our purpose.
Think about how you have handled or avoided handling disruptions in your life. What do you need to learn in order to handle them better and begin healing from the effects?
Psalm 32:8 New International Version
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Philippians 4:9
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
