It is so encouraging when God finds different ways to teach us about faith.
When Peter was declaring his commitment to Jesus, Jesus told him that Satan had asked to sift the disciples as wheat.
I thought, huh? He had to ask?
I re-read the comment and the sat back and thought about it.
I thought wait a minute. I have been ascribing way too much power to Satan in my life and the lives of others.
Way too much. This realization caused a change in my thoughts, prayers and actions.
He had to ask. He dries not have the authority like that. I hear the teachings and have read the word about satan’s authority but this time I had received the revelation.
Peter was encouraged to keep his faith strong. As was I by this revelation.
This was the beginning of an entirely different perspective and increased faith for a new day!
1 Corinthians 2:5 That your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
