God told me to let my past mistakes go. He said repent, learn from it and leave it.
Every time I look back in self-condemnation I am not moving forward.
Every time I look back I and blame myself again for trusting others who were not trustworthy, I open the door of opportunity of an unwillingness to forgive.
Other than learning from the past, looking back stagnates my journey and poisons my progress.
Repent, forgive, learn and leave.
Psalm 103:9-11
9 He will not always chide,
nor will he keep his anger forever.
10 He does not deal with us according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our iniquities.
