Do You Know the Results of Your Words?

Watch your mouth, you do not get an audio do-over and sometimes words can take on a life of their own.

We try to make amends but sometimes it is hard to undo what has been done. We have all said things we regret. Everyone of us. While we do want to receive grace when we make a mistake, let us try to minimize our need for grace by speaking words that build instead of tearing down others.

Proverbs 15:1

A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Proverbs 15:4

The soothing tongue is a tree of life,
but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.

Proverbs 16:24

 Gracious words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
